First Year Fellowship Program

The Fellowship Program 

First Year Fellows

The Fellowship Program offers students the opportunity to follow, assist, and be mentored by an elected executive cabinet officer throughout the entire 2016-2017 academic year. If selected, students will have the opportunity to work for one of the following offices:

Office of the President

The Office of the President is the chief executive officer of ASUCR and is responsible for coordinating the functions of the student government to best represent the undergraduate students of UCR.

Office of the Executive Vice President

The Office of the Executive Vice President is entrusted with the functions of Senate on a day-to-day basis to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently, and that clear communication exists with Senate, ASUCR President and Professional Staff.

Office of the Vice President 

The Office of the Vice President handles student issues that pertain to the internal function of UCR and coordinates events such as the annual Food Truck Festival.

Office of Vice President of External Affairs

The Office of Vice President of External Affairs is assigned the task of representing students through ASUCR on a local, state and national level.

Office of the Vice President of Finance

The Office of the Vice President of Finance is the chief financial officer who is responsible for ensuring that students' interests are followed when ASUCR allocates student funds to the different campus organizations, events and more.

Preamble

We, the undergraduate students of the Riverside campus of the University of California, bestow governing authority to the Associated Students of the University of California at Riverside, an independent, student-directed, unincorporated, directly elected, three-branch student government, in order to set forth the ideals herein: to supplement and complement formal and informal education on this University of California campus; to propagate the general well-being of undergraduates; to fairly represent student interests, needs and welfare within the University community; to represent and articulate our rights to a voice in campus governance by fostering recognition of the rights of students and providing a forum to articulate and represent the views and interests of students; to recognize, represent, and support the diversity of needs and views of students at the University; to provide for the expression of student opinion and interests to the community at large on issues affecting student life; to provide services and coordinate activities for students, while advancing our common interests and concerns as students and as citizens; and, in pursuit of these ideals, through independent action and in concert with other constituencies of the university community, we hereby adopt this Constitution as the primary document governing the Associated Students of the University of California at Riverside.
